Lenovo Vibe K4 note Marshmallow UPDATE.
By end of the May Lenovo starts giving update to Lenovo vibe K4 note user for Marshmallow OS upgrade. Now this is the end of the June I am writing my one month experience of Marshmallow in Lenovo vibe K4 note.
Basically the update size is very huge around 1.3GB-1.6GB may be vary, mine is about 1.6GB and my friend got 1.4GB umm why this happened after all we both have same phone ? Quit interesting forgot about that.
After downloads completes it took around 1 hours to complete the installation. Yeah, I got definitely bored but its all done without any issue my all the apps which is installed in phone memory remained as it is as I left before the update. Ok this is quit awesome that my older apps doesn’t affected by update few!!! This saved my extra time of re-downloading that app.
What’s new??
First thing I noticed when phone boot up that new awesome lock screen. Although it has very less changes which is notable.
Second, completely changed UI. Although the VIBE UI was not change. When you open settings boom!!!! It’s a stock UI of Marshmallow, I have compared the UI with my friends MOTO and Nexus I found that Lenovo is now giving stock android feel in their device which means it’s nearly PURE MARSHMALLOW!!!! Wow.
Third, I found this OS UPGRADE is RAM hungry it will consume 50% - 66% means 1.5 - 1.8 GB when nothing is running. Ok This is not Good but I doesn’t feel that my phone is hanging or taking long time to load. Yeah some time it stuck for a second but very rarely it’s happens only when you ram usage is about 90% or more unless you will not found any lag in the device. Assuming on that the apps were not using more ram. Ram usage in 1%-10% only by per app.
Fourth, Animation; WOW the animation were just awesome I have notice they give animation to every small thing like icons in notification bar etc.
Fifth, New option in usb connection there is new option comes when you connect your usb MIDI.
MIDI enables the music synthesiser app in which you have to connect musical instrument via USB-OTG so you can compose music one your PHONE !!!!
Summary:-
This is very awesome that they giving stock android. For some user found Lollipop batter than Marshmallow this is like comparing Windows 8 to windows 10 as windows 10 is built for every one just same as marshmallow is.
From my point of view the marshmallow is awesome. Just download it.
